Surflon® Starter Kit

All-In-One Surflon System

The Surflon® Starter Kit is a great way to try the Surflon system! Each kit contains detailed instructions, a 300 ft. (92 m) spool of Surflon wire, 200 crimping sleeves, and a pair of Deluxe Crimping & Cutting Pliers. This is enough material to wire approximately one-hundred 24” x 36” (61cm x 91cm) frames. The kits are economically priced so you can try the system without having to purchase larger spools and packages of sleeves. Give it a try...once you use Surflon, you’ll never wrap wire again!

Using The Surflon System


(1) Feed Surflon wire through the proper size sleeve (see size chart on page 4) and hardware.	(2) Pass the wire back through the sleeve once.	(3) Next, firmly crimp the sleeve and the wire using the special crimping pliers. Because the width of the crimping pliers is less than the width of the crimping sleeves, we recommend making two side-by-side compressions on each sleeve. This method provides a neat, uniform groove in the sleeve, creating a more professional look.	(4) The wire and the sleeve are now secure. To finish the job, repeat this procedure for the opposite side of the frame and your frame will be ready for hanging.
